Improving the Environmental performance of EPC Direct Ltd

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that sets out how you can go about putting in place an effective Environmental Management System (EMS). The standard is designed to address the delicate balance between maintaining profitability and reducing environmental impact; with the commitment of your entire organization, it can enable you to achieve both objectives.

EPC Direct Ltd achieved ISO14001 in July 2009 having written their own EMS integrating both ISO9001 and ISO14001. The EMS was written and subsequently implemented by general manager Matthew Cummins, "Reducing our environmental impact is an ongoing process and does not stop now we have achieved ISO14001. We are looking towards our next set of performance improvements of which a further 25% reduction of landfill waste is on the agenda".
